Mission and Purpose of IC’s Freshy Camp 2015
The International College of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok was established in 2014 as part of KMUTNB’s international strategy and vision to support the goals of ASEAN Economics Community (or AEC) with strong human capitals development. We aim to equip our students with both theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as language and communication skills which will allow them to compete internationally.
Since 2014, we have welcomed students from different cultures and backgrounds. Our first class has 38 students. The number of admission is doubled in 2015 to 62. Currently, the International College is providing quality education to 100 students, 10 of which are non-Thai students.
University is student’s second home that provide them with academic and social life. However, the transition from high school to university usually proves to be rocky. To prepare students for challenges lying ahead and equip them with necessary experience and skills for a successful university life, the International College of KMUTNB, in collaboration with the International Cooperation Centre, host the ‘International College’s Freshy Camp 2015’ from 18 to 21 August 2015 at KMUTNB Bangkok Campus and Phu Pha Phung Resort, Ratchaburi.
This camp aims to develop students’ academic, language, and creative skills; as well as, leadership and teamwork skills, through series of workshops and activities. This camp also aims to instill the university core value, philosophy, and culture in our students and strengthen a long lasting friendship and bond among students; and student-lecturer relationship. Moreover, all activities will be conducted in English to provide our students with opportunities to practice their English skills
Purposes of IC’s Freshy Camp 2015
- To strengthen the bond and unity among students and teachers.
- To support new students in their transition to university life, giving them useful academic and social skills for a success university life
- To develop student’s leadership and teamwork skills
- To develop student’s English skills
